passion.

its a fancy word. intimidating to some. it can be used in a variety in ways. the word passion can be used to build up or tear down. used to lead you in different directions.
passion is a feeling. an intense feeling. Jesus felt it when hanging in pain on the cross. He felt it for you. He loves you with such a strong level of passion, He would even die to satisfy it. that's a strong love right there. a love filled with passion of who you are. not what you've done... but who you can be in Jesus. because of Jesus' passion on the cross we are to be filled with the passion of the Holy Spirit, to work for the glory and furtherance of His kingdom. our lives are to be those of constant longing to have the passion that Christ had for us on calvary. we have to be so conscious everyday of what our sense of passion is used for. is it being used to further God's kingdom? or our own?
that's the goal of being a Christian. that's the great commission. being filled with passion enough to tell everyone everywhere what Jesus has done for you. passion drives the Christian religion. that's what its about. without passion to further the kingdom our faith is useless.
pray for passion.
pray that God will give you a longing in your heart to seek him and lead others to him.
passion doesn't come easy.
like the definition above... it means suffering.
its not easy.
but its worth it.
God didn't say "I wont give you more than you can handle."
He says... "I wont give you more than I can't handle. and I can handle anything."
He can handle it.
even when you cant... He can.
